NAME PROJECT

In this introduction to Digital Art Foundations, we worked on basic things like cropping, adding filters and making cohesive art in Photoshop since it will be a lot of what we are doing this year. So, we got out cameras and tried to find everyday objects to make them look like letters and spell our name. I liked this but at first it was hard for me because i have little to no experience in Photoshop, so it was a little bit of a challenge but after a while I was able to get used to it. The point of this mini project was to get more comfortable in Photoshop and I feel that I met that goal

Teacher Creature FINAL
Project Reflection

Looking back now, I am very proud with what I have accomplished with the teacher creature project Because I came into this year with little to no Photoshop Knowledge, and I feel that this project allowed me the freedom to do what I wanted, but also, guided me through the basics of something that I will be using all year, and maybe more in my high school and adult life. I'am proud of what I accomplished because I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get done what I did, And even though there are obviously something that I could do better, but overall I am happy with the comedic take on the teacher creature project, and how far I have come, from not even knowing how to open a document in Photoshop, to this, for me is a pretty great accomplishment.

Black History Month

Project Reflection

This was quite a short project, but I feel that I have been able to broaden my thoughts of things that I might want to do in the future. In the picture above, I hand drew it using a wacom digital drawing pad in adobe illustrator. And I have always used physical pen and pencil, real paint, and I never even thought about digital drawing, and through this project I was able to create art for something that I am passionate about in a new medium that I ended up enjoying. I felt that time wise I did one big drawing session one day where I got most of the drawing down, then the next few days I did some edits and refinement on some of my lines and designs. I feel that for the majority of the time that I paint, or do any art, every element that I add changes the mood and theme of the piece, and I still do like that, but with this, I went in with an organized Idea, and I really refined it and I stuck with it, which is something completely different that I have ever done before, and I really enjoyed it. Reflecting back on something that I could have changed, I wish I could have made the actual woman maybe bigger, and taking up most of the space, because there is a lot of empty space in the art, but I noticed that if I added anything in the background, I didn't enjoy the art as much and it took away from the power of the piece and the feeling that you get, in this case, less was more.

Technology Political Cartoon

In this project we hooked our humanities class with digital art, and with this project we focused on anything that had to do with technology. My topic was about social media and body Image. In this art piece, I wanted to convey that body image is something that everyone struggles with, or has dealt with. And also because there is so much going on with the face, i decided to keep that as the only thing in the picture in order to not distract from the message of the art piece.

Logo Design

In this project we designed our own logos using our names or a company that we made up or a real one. During this project I think that the biggest thing I learned that was both interesting, but not over the top, leveled, but not dull. And it was hard during the design portion to find different variations of how to incorporate my brand in a captivating way. It was really interesting also the ways that other projects are incorporated into this project, such as using the pen tool, or using the basics of Adobe Illustrator.  Also Incorporating my aesthetics and my interest into the design.

Design Your Own Digital Art Project

For this project we were given the freedom to create any type of art that included a digital component included. I decided to remake the suit of the cups from the traditional Rider Waite tarot deck. I chose to do this because I have a big interest in tarot and mystical things. I also just did the cups suit because A. The whole deck is 78 cards, and we had limited time, also I really have a strong connection to the suit of the cups because it has to do with emotions and the fluidity of life. So my main objective of creating this suit of the cards was to convey some of the images in the original deck, while adding my Avant Garde , style to it. So over all, I am proud of why I created, but there are certain things like extra lines that I would like to fix. I also Purposely left the cards black and white because you can print them out and color them yourself as a fun little project. I think looking to the future I would love to make my own tarot deck based off of the rider Waite deck because it would be a way for me to both creatively and spiritually express myself.
